The dIRE sTRAITS LEGENDS concept show was born from the love and the passion for the one of the greatest rock band ever… and to keep alive with respect the amazing music of dIRE sTRAITS!
Since the band played its last gig in the 1992 (“On Every Street World Tour”), the musical genius that is Mark Knopfler has made it clear that he prefers to leave the old stuff behind him and concentrate on his solo career… we respect his choice… he has moved on, but the world misses dIRE sTRAITS
So this dIRE sTRAITS LEGENDS concept gig is simply to celebrate dIRE sTRAITS’ music live again, performed by the guys who made it happen… and to see again some old friend together on stage.
Since We4Show’s initial involvement in 2013 these members of dIRE sTRAITS have joined this “concept”… John Illsley, Phil Palmer, Jack Sonni, Mel Collins, Alan Clark, Chris White, Danny Cummings, Pick Withers, have performed together again to celebrate their dIRE sTRAITS LEGACY.
A meeting in summer 2013 connected DSL concept with We4Show – a new concept 4 the show – an agency born with the mission to produce and promote high level quality music with passion and bright new attitude in music entertainement.
An incredible success for the first theatre tour in November-December 2013 with five amazing sold out gigs in Italy, a great Line Up: Phil Palmer, Pick Withers, Danny Cummings, Jack Sonni, Mel Collins, Marco Caviglia, Primiano DiBiase, Maurizio Meo.
